Frequently Asked Questions
-
Baby massage can support relaxation, gentle development, and help you notice and respond to your baby’s cues. Many parents also find it a wonderful way to bond with their little one and enjoy some quiet, focused time together.
-
That’s completely normal, babies are welcome to be babies in our classes! You’re always encouraged to respond to your baby’s needs -whether that’s feeding, cuddling, changing, or simply taking a break. There’s no pressure to complete the massage; the focus is on connection, comfort, and learning at your baby’s pace.
-
Many parents come to classes on their own, especially in the early weeks of parenthood. Our classes are designed to feel warm, relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of gentle opportunities to chat and connect, but never any pressure if you’d prefer to simply settle in quietly too.
-
Our classes are best suited for babies from birth to the stage where they are actively moving around.

I am trained by and a current member of the Infant Massage Information Service, hold a current Working With Children Check, and have a background in social work. As a mum myself, I know how important it is to feel comfortable and supported when attending classes with your baby.
-
Only you will massage your baby during the class. This ensures your baby feels safe and comfortable, and that you gain the confidence and connection that comes from being the one giving the massage.
-
Bring your baby, a towel or small blanket, and any nappies or wipes you might need. Please also bring any oil, lotion, or cream you’ve been using to massage or moisturise your baby. If you haven’t used anything yet, don’t worry - we’ll discuss options in the first session so you can find what works best for you and your baby.
-
Each session lasts about 45 minutes, and the course runs for 4 weeks, giving you plenty of time to learn and practice techniques to continue at home.
-
No experience is needed! The class is hands-on and guided, and you’ll be supported step by step while massaging your own baby. You are the expert on your baby, and we’ll help you learn techniques that work best for you both.
-
If your baby is unwell, it’s best not to attend the class that day to keep everyone comfortable and well. We’ll do our best to offer a make-up session if another group is running, though this can’t be guaranteed and will depend on availability.
-
Yes! Up to two caregivers are welcome to attend each class with your baby. Please note that the massage should be given by a parent or primary caregiver, or someone who has a close relationship with your baby. This ensures your little one feels safe, secure, and comfortable during the session.
